Zoe Evelyn is an Oxford-based abstract artist. She is inspired by artists including Picasso, Basquiat, Cy Twombly and Jackson Pollock. She sells her work locally at markets as well as online.

ABOUT

Hi, I'm Zoe, an abstract artist based in Oxford.

I was always passionate about art growing up, but I also loved writing and pursued a career in journalism and as an author. While I still love to write, I re-discovered my love of painting in my thirties and I now paint as much as possible. Re-discovering art has felt like reconnecting with a part of myself.

I'm inspired by artists such as Picasso, Basquiat, Cy Twombly and Jackson Pollock. I enjoy creating energetic, colourful and instinctive art that celebrates bold colour and texture, and looks eye-catching and unique.

I was diagnosed as autistic at around the time I started painting again. I experienced a newfound self-acceptance around this time, and stopped trying to force myself into boxes which did not fit. I embraced my strengths as a creative, introverted, neurodivergent person and began throwing myself into pursuits that fulfilled me rather than drained me, which is what art is for me.

If you are interested in purchasing a painting from me, the artist, online, I offer two ways for you to do this.

You can buy directly from me by emailing zoeevelynart@gmail.com. I will issue an invoice via PayPal, which includes buyer protection for your peace of mind were anything to go wrong with the transaction. Upon payment being received, I will dispatch your painting within three working days. UK shipping costs £30, EU shipping costs £60 and other international shipping costs can also be quoted for. I also offer free local delivery to Oxfordshire-based buyers.
